Eurasia Tunnel Opening
Eurasia Tunnel, which will connect the Asian side with the European side of Istanbul, which runs under the Bosphorus is almost complete, as the Minister of Transport and Communications of the Turkish maritime navigation, “Ahmed Arslan,” announced earlier that the tunnel will be opened and will get to service in December of this year, that’s mean 8 months earlier from it’s opening date on which they had sign it before starting the project.
“Yeni akd” newspaper said, ” that when paving work in the tunnel complete, Erdogan will drive his own car by himself, to cross from the European side to the Asian side using the Eurasia tunnel.
Tunnel spans is 14.6 kilometers under the Bosphorus. It works has been launched in 2011, and cost $ 1 billion and $ 250 million, it is between “Guztibh” district in the Asian side of Istanbul and “Kizil Thishimah” in the European side, it is expected to be used by 100 thousand conveyance per day.
